If you have read Revelations in the Bible there isn't any mention of America. Could all this turmoil we have going on internally, Health Care,Unemployment, Cap and Trade be setting us up for the fall so the rest of the players are set? I don't know...Not a clue....But I have this sinking feeling the $&$! is ready to hit the fan. Israel won't allow nukes in Iran. Iran wants nukes. UN and US won't stop nukes.....Hmmmmmm. Well something has got to give. We will find out soon I guess. Read your Bible find your own answers.

You know we as parents are role models for our kids(ones still young enough to be under the roof and don't pay rent...and aren't over 18). What we do as parents magnifies in their eyes. If we have a bad temper they may develop one. If we drink,smoke,gamble heavily, look at porn,cheat on our spouse...etc..All that crap is processed by our kids. IF you have demons,poor habits,rage, problems whatever, pray about it and get help. Don't dump this crap on your kids! God Bless.

We are on this world for a short time. Life goes by so freakin fast! So if you are a Christian you will die knowing you enter an existence that is beyond explanation. IF you are not a Christian. Where do you think you're going? Christians here on earth need to be praising God and live their lives by his Word. If you are not a Christian. What do you live by;

Money.............Nice to have but will never fill an emptiness. Look at poor Michael Jackson. He was abused as a kid and the celebrity life made him rich, then he went broke and lost his life to misery. Imagine if he was armed with Jesus Christ in his heart and his father was a better man that put God and his family before himself.

Fame.....Nice for headlines. Everyne likes recognition. Yet Fame is fake. Fame passes quickly and offers nothing. Bernis Madoff is famous right now. He stole millions from his investors. Yet imagine if he had Jesus Christ in his heart and the principles of the Bible to lead him. People would have been in better shape finacially and he would have stayed out of jail. Why? Because Thou shall not steal is a commandment th Lord demanded we live by. Love thy neighbor is another one. Had Madoff followed this he wouldn't be worrying about his next cellmate.

Obama...He is a man. Not a Messiah. Neither was Bush. They are Leaders. Obama is not following Christian principals. He backs abortion.(Though shall not Kill). He says he is against gay marriage but he gave them more federal benefits and higher status(nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God.")

Drugs,alcohol,porn.....Not of this crap will fill any emptiness. It will provide a quick destructive fix but won't bring peace or happiness. Have you ever seen a Drunk,porn addict,junkie be asked to speak to kids to inspire their lives. Hell No!

I don't believe in forcing anyone to believe anything. You can read this blog or not. All I am trying to do is spread a little truth I have discovered myself. Don't take my word for it read the Bible yourself.

Events are unfolding that lead many Christians to believe that we are in the End Times.

One verse from the Bible regarding the Rapture;

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." (1 Thess, 4:16-18).

Are we in the end times? Who knows. I think we are based upon all the crap going on in the Middle East. Plus Obama has pretty much bailed on Israel to make good with the Muslim countries even those whom embrace radical Islam. Israel is the key to all this right now as always. If they are attacked get ready for the fireworks because God will step in.

But I would recommend follow Jesus and jis teachings because you believe it and seek to be saved. Don't be an" End of the world break out the beer" type of believer. Read the Bible, find a Church that teaches the word. Always question what you don't understand. Don't follow blindly but follow with true Faith and understanding.

We didn't come from mud. We aren't descendants of mice or alligators. We were created. It's hard to believe and blows our minds but the fact of the matter our made in tag if we had one would not say China but read God. The reason we see only his creation(earth,everything on it,universe) and not the creator is because of FREEWILL. Think of it it this way. When your kid leaves to go to college and is on his/her on. Do you show up as parent and interfere in their decisions if you feel they are making a poor choice. No of course not. God sent us out because we screwed up... well Adam and Eve did. We are here to use freewill to have eternal life or not. It's that simple. See you on the other side(Hopefully some day)!

So we see a great movie.............Like Star Trek the remake and think, "Man I can't wait for the sequel." We eat a great meal and then want desert. If your lucky enough to have a job today you are always looking(unless unmotivated) for a raise or promotion. My point is we as a society want more. Nothing wrong with that. You work for it, you deserve it. When it comes to my faith I always want more. I want to do more in praise of Jesus Christ. Because if I accomplish something it feels better thanking my savior and praising him than it is me tooting my own horn. I would rather come across a humble person thankful for what I achieve than an arrogant jackass who looks down on others to fuel my ego.

So Michael Vick goes to jail for killing dogs but abortion doctors killed up to 4,000 babies every year and get paid for it. What if Vick had been an abortion doctor during the off-season? He would have made extra money and not gotten into any trouble. Sad commentary on our society.

These studies show that religious people tend to live healthier lives. "They're less likely to smoke, to drink, to drink and drive," he says. In fact, people who pray tend to get sick less often, as separate studies conducted at Duke, Dartmouth, and Yale universities show. Some statistics from these studies:

Hospitalized people who never attended church have an average stay of three times longer than people who attended regularly.
Heart patients were 14 times more likely to die following surgery if they did not participate in a religion.
Elderly people who never or rarely attended church had a stroke rate double that of people who attended regularly.
In Israel, religious people had a 40% lower death rate from cardiovascular disease and cancer.

For the those who don't believe there is a God and Jesus is a fairy tale do some home work before you jump on the atheist or agnostic bus.

1. Read the Bible for yourself-Make up your own mind about its validity
2. Look at research and findings of archaeologists that have uncovered Biblical related relics
3. Near death experiences or visions have shed some light on the after life-careful here though alot of fake crap there.The book 23 Minutes in Hell paints a not so rosy picture of Hell.
4. Compare research of creationism to evolution. Evolution has no proof. No transitional fossils to point to.
5. Prayer is a powerful tool. Look at research and testimony at those who have prayed for others who have been sick or terminally ill and how prayer healed them.(Specifically God's answering the prayers)

When I was 6 years old I was walking with my sister(4 yrs old) and the roads were extremely icy. She happened to slip in the way of an on coming car. Luckily I was there just in time to pull her from getting hit. I believe that is what God does for us when we pray in time of need. He can pull us from some bad situations and set us on the right track.

I am a conservative from a Democratic family. So you can imagine the arguments.

1. When we discuss abortion stances, they say Pro-choice is a woman's right. That is where their argument ends. Look it takes two people to create a child. I feel a man should have input but let's say we waive that right for arguments sake. Why does the child have no rights. Anyone reading this wasn't aborted. It's murder plain and simple. We can hide behind womens' rights,Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics but when push comes to shove there was a life and after an abortion there isn't. If a child is an inconvenience then they should be given up for adoption. Families who can't have children of their own are always waiting a long time for a chance to adopt.

2. Same sex marriage. Look Hollywood makes homosexuality look fun and normal but it isn't. It is an unhealthy lifestyle.70% of partners in a same sex relationship are more likely to have affairs than heterosexuals according to a study. Also it is scientifically impossible for 2 homosexuals to procreate. I am against it not only for natural reasons but also for Biblical reasons as backed by some scripture;

a. Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.'
b. Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
c. Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Now the argument is that Christianity is out of touch with modern society. I guess Sodom may have been playing that fiddle too. The Bible has been around for a long long time and has not changed. Empires come and go but the Word of God is constant.

3. There is the argument that if we are good we can get to Heaven. That could not be further from the truth. You can't buy your way into Heaven. You can't be nice enough, smart enough,dumb enough,do enough...The only way to get into Heaven is through belief in Jesus;

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6)

I didn't make this up. It is in the New Testament plain as day. It doesn't say come to the father by going near me or around me...only through me.

Welcome to my blog! This is my first one and I am just getting it off the ground. The reason I created it was to share my testimony on what brought me to Christ.

As a kid and through my early twenties I was raised Catholic in a N. Boston suburb. I was bored out of my mind mass after mass. All I knew about Jesus and the Catholic was Christmas, Easter and guilt.Also where the hot girls sat. I got nothing out of it. I used to time the masses and put and over under on them. I would park in a front spot so I could get out quickly. Over time I missed 2 masses in a row then 3 and then it was like screw it. I didn't care anymore. If people asked I would say I was Catholic and that was the depth to my spirituality.Of course this came back to bite me later. When I hit a rough spell in my late teens I had a drug overdose,fought with my parents,siblings,friends and had no where to turn. When I was 24 I had had enough I decided I needed a huge change. I tried praying(really praying) a few night before for a sign on how to get my life on track. I had dropped out of college and was working a crappy job. My journey took me to Texas. Keep in mind I had never been to Texas and had no job or school to go to there. I went to Texas and worked crappy jobs to start, and started attending a Baptist Church. It was weird as my spiritual life improved and I had a growing desire to know Jesus better my career prospects improved. I was able to go back and get a degree, buy a house, make great money and know Jesus more and more. It was not all that hard either. I start reading the Bible and listened to the sermons from the Pastor. I never read the Bible when I was going to a Catholic Church. I prayed for others instead for myself, I started donating money to the Church, met a wonderful Christian woman and got married. Things were and still are rocking. I have a peace I never felt before. I made amends with my family and make it a point to read the Bible or listen to a sermon(IPOD) every day. I know to some this may sound like a bunch of crap but Jesus saves. Really he does. I didn't just read the Bible and see a dove in the air and say "Holy ^&" I'm saved! I did research about the credibility of Jesus' claims. The witnesses testimony. I grilled the writings and the evidence. I read about what the differences are between religions. I turned over every stone I could because I sure as hell wasn't going to be a brainwashed zombie. At the end of all the research I came to the conclusion that Jesus was born and died on the cross for us. No other religion can boast a claim that their God overcame death nor has the facts to back it up. If I could pass on one tid bit from my testimony it would be that going to Church is nice but read the Bible and learn truth for yourself. God Bless!
